Why We Redesigned It

“We wanted every user, no matter where they’re sending from, to get the same simple, smooth experience. That meant reducing the number of clicks, improving feature clarity, and giving people more flexibility with how they pay, among other updates. This redesign gives us a solid foundation to build seamless experiences going forward.” - Temitope, Remittance Product Lead.

After listening to user feedback and knowing we had big plans for future upgrades, we knew it was time to retire the old flow and build something better.

What’s New

1. Send Without Funding Your Wallet
Step one in simplifying your experience? More ways to pay. Now, you can send money directly from your preferred payment method without needing to fund your LemFi wallet first.
Here’s how it works:

• Enter the amount you want to send
• Choose your preferred payment method, right on the "Send Money" page
• Select the Recipient
• Review the transaction details and send

You still have the option to fund and send money through your wallet, but now you have more flexibility over how you move your money.

2. Transaction Details and Updates
We also reworked the Transaction Page so you can track your money clearly from start to finish. Each transaction is now split into Updates and Details:

• Transaction Updates: With "Updates", you can monitor the status of your transfer, whether it’s successful, delayed, or failed. If something goes wrong, you will know exactly why.
  In addition, you also won’t have to go through the entire “Send money” process again. Just tap “I haven’t paid” to go straight back to your payment options. You can retry using the same method or choose a different one, saving time and effort.

• Transaction Details: Everything you need to know is right there: transfer fees (if any), reward points earned, the exchange rate, your security question, and your transaction confirmation code. It’s all there to help you track your transfer easily and keep your records clear.

3. A Smoother, Faster Send Flow
We trimmed the steps to send money. Now, when you start a transfer, you can enter the amount, instantly see what your recipient will get, choose how you want to pay, view any applicable transfer fees, and see the reward points on the transaction—all on one screen.

Then it’s:
Who are you sending to? → Review Details → Enter your PIN.

Your money is on its way home.

And we didn’t stop there. Your Review Screen also got a rework, so before you hit send, you’ll see:

• How much you’re sending
• Where it’s going
• How you’re paying
• Fees, where applicable
• The recipient’s account details
• Reward points you’ll earn
• And our best estimate of how long it’ll take to deliver

There’s no room for surprises or second-guessing.

4. Confirm Transfers With Biometrics
We’ve added another layer of security to keep your money safe. You can now confirm your transfers with Face ID or Fingerprint in addition to your PIN.
Here’s how it works:

• Set up your transfer PIN (if you haven’t already)
• Enable Biometrics on the Manage Transactions PIN screen.
• Use Face ID or fingerprint to approve future transfers.

Once set up, confirming a transfer is as simple as a glance or a tap.

How To Get Started

For Existing Users: Update your app to access the new features and updates. Head to either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Search for LemFi, and tap on the “Update” button to install the latest version of the app.

For New Users: Download the LemFi app here, sign up and complete the quick verification process. Once verified, you can access all its new and old exciting features. Best of all, you can send money back home in minutes, at a great value and with zero transfer fees.
