We are super excited to announce the release of our new mobile app — live on both iOS and Android.
We’re also happy to let you know we’ve resumed our instant money transfer service from Canada to Nigeria! Following a directive from the Central Bank of Nigeria, we temporarily suspended the service on the 6th of June. Today, we’re happy to let you know you can now send USD from Canada to Nigeria.
First…
Users in Canada can now send money to a US Dollar domiciliary account in Nigeria for free. The list of supported banks includes FCMB, Wema Bank, and UBA.
Users in Canada can now also make instant free money transfers to Kenya, with direct support to m-Pesa and at the best exchange rate!
Users in Nigeria can make instant free money transfers to Canada! We currently support two transfer methods from Nigeria to Canada.
Transfer to a Canadian bank account which takes between 24–48 hours to deliver.
Transfer into a Lemonade account through the beneficiary tag (e.g- $Ridwan), which is instant delivery!.
You can now convert money from one currency to another using our new Multi-Currency Wallet. If you’re in Canada, you can instantly convert CAD to NGN.
Users in Nigeria can already convert from Naira to CAD. Creating a wallet in another currency means one can save money and perform local transactions such as bills payment and transfers with the currency converted to.
There are no charges or any fees when converting money on the Lemonade app.
Nigerians in Canada can now buy airtime and pay for cable TV subscriptions for their loved ones back home with the new app. We’ve also added cable TV payments for users in Nigeria. Bill payments via the Lemonade app are free and don’t come with any extra charges.

We hope you have an awesome experience with the new app.
